November 12 marked the 158th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen's birth. A commemorative activity attended by all walks of life in Zhongshan was held at his former residence to honor Sun Yat-sen's contributions to national independence, social progress and the well-being of the people, as well as to learn from, inherit, and carry forward his patriotic ideals, revolutionary will and enterprising spirit.

On the morning, an exhibition on Sun Yat-sen, Huangpu Military Academy and Sun Yat-sen University opened at the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen and will run through January 12, 2025. Through precious cultural objects, documents and pictures, the exhibition showcases Sun Yat-sen's educational ideas and the glorious history of Huangpu Military Academy and Sun Yat-sen University.

On the same day, the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen signed agreements with the UESTC Zhongshan Institute, Zhongshan Polytechnic, Yunqu Middle School and Cuiheng Primary School to co-build teaching bases for ideological and political course.
