The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the 5G Factory List for 2024, and Zhongshan-based company Mingyang Electric made the List.

5G factory refers to an advanced factory that makes full use of 5G communication technology and is based on the construction of new infrastructure of the Industrial Internet. With automation and intelligent equipment widely used, this kind of factories feature comprehensive connection of production units, deep integration of information and operations, full utilization of data elements, and efficient empowerment of innovative applications.

The MIIT started the selection of 5G factories since 2023. In 2024, a total of 400 enterprises across the country were selected, and Mingyang Electric is the first in Zhongshan making the list.

In recent years, Mingyang Electric has been actively promoting the widespread application of 5G, big data, IoT integration technology and building digital intelligent platforms covering the entire business chain to boost the digital integrative development of the manufacturing industry.
