The Guangdong Middle School Track and Field Championship is taking place in Zhongshan from November 21 to 24.

During the four-day competition, more than 5,800 coaches and athletes from 724 schools across Guangdong compete to showcase their talent at the Xingzhong Stadium.

Over 340 athletes from 34 schools take part in the event, including Fang Xiaolin from No.1 Middle School of Zhongshan, who secured one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal for China previously at the 2024 Gymnasiade.

This is the largest track and field event for middle school students held in Zhongshan over the past 10 years. It will serve as a warm-up event for the National Games to be held in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
