To celebrate its second anniversary, Shenwan Overseas Chinese History and Culture Museum launches series of activities from November this year to January next year. Residents and tourists can go to Younan village to experience an overseas Chinese village adventure featuring the beautiful Xijiang River.

Younan is the historical and cultural origin of Shenwan Town, and the Shenwan Overseas Chinese History and Culture Museum, located in Shierhuan village of Younan, opened to the public in January 2023.

The museum was renovated from the century-old Peng Clan Ancestral Hall. Through cultural exhibitions, display of historical objects and sound and light technology, the museum aims to vividly showcase the unique characteristics of a hometown of overseas Chinese and the stories of Zhongshanese living abroad.

"We have launched a set of cultural creative cup sleeves. By scanning the QR code on the cup sleeve, residents and tourists can access information such as audio guides of the museum, the Shenwan overseas Chinese videos, guide maps of the Yaji Mountain scenic area, and more," said an official of Shenwan Town.
