As a key engineering project of the ShenJiang Railway, Jiya Waterway Grand Bridge spans 6.8 kilometers, with a main span of 408 meters. It is a steel-concrete composite girder cable-stayed bridge.

The bridge has 31 steel girders, which will cost 5,189 tons of steel. The first steel girder is 12.5 meters long, 17 meters wide and 4 meters high, and weighs 224.9 tons.

The 116.12-kilometer ShenJiang Railway, with a design speed of 250 kmph, is a major transportation infrastructure that serves the Belt and Road Initiative and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
