In 2024, the Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce joined hands with household appliance enterprises to take part in such exhibitions as Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition), Appliance & Electronics World Expo Shanghai, Canton Fair and IFA, delivering high-quality Zhongshan-made products to all parts of the world.

In 2024, Zhongshan kept expanding the scale of foreign trade. Its total imports and exports in the first 11 months of 2024 rose 10.1% from a year earlier to 258.32 billion yuan, and the annual total is expected to hit a record high.

Specifically, Zhongshan's exports to emerging markets saw significant growth: Over 15% to the Middle East and Russia, over 20% to Belt and Road, ASEAN and BRICS countries, and over 30% to Latin American countries.
