According to the latest data from the Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce, from January to November 2024, Zhongshan's imports and exports to countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative grew by 17%, to ASEAN countries grew by 13.7%, and to BRICS nations grew by 24%. In terms of exports, there was a 15% growth to Middle East countries and a 33.9% growth to Latin American countries.
