In late December 2024, Kathleen Lau, a Chinese American from Zhongshan, returned to her hometown in Liaohou Village in Zhongshan's South District. At that time, the "Four Small Gardens" project, funded by her and her siblings, was already in use, becoming a new place for neighbors to relax and cool off. 

Looking at the towering banyan trees in the garden, she couldn't help but recall the summer many years ago, filled with the sound of cicadas, when she and her playmates enjoyed happy times under the tree.
