Zhongshan's CPI down 0.3% YoY in February

In February 2025, Zhongshan's CPI (consumer price index) decreased by 0.3% year on year and increased by 0.2% month on month.

On a year-on-year basis, food prices increased by 0.3%, while non-food prices decreased by 0.5%. Consumer goods prices increased by 0.5%, while service prices decreased by 1.7%. Food, tobacco and alcohol prices increased by 1.1%.

The prices of other supplies and services increased by 5.4%, clothing prices increased by 3.9%, and the prices of daily necessities and services increased by 0.5%. Transportation and communication prices decreased by 3.7%, education, culture and entertainment prices decreased by 3.4%, housing prices decreased by 0.4%, and healthcare prices decreased by 0.1%.

On a month-on-month basis, food, tobacco and alcohol prices increased by 1.7%, while industrial consumer goods prices rose by 0.3%. Gasoline and diesel prices increased by 1.3% and 1.5%, respectively, while gold jewelry prices rose by 6.6%. The prices of fuel-powered cars and new energy cars decreased by 0.2% and by 2.0%, respectively.
