The Guangdong Promotion Association of County Economy Research and Development recently released the research report on the comprehensive development capacity of town economies, naming 100 towns with high development capacity levels.

Zhongshan's Xiaolan Town ranked third among the top 100, following Dongguan's Humen Town and Foshan's Shishan Town.

As an established industrial powerhouse and economic leader in Zhongshan, Xiaolan has achieved several breakthroughs in socioeconomic development in recent years. In 2024, Xiaolan recorded a GDP of 58.64 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 5.7%. Its smart lock industry cluster has become the city's first national-level characteristic industrial clusters for SMEs.
