The Xiaomi Fans Club at the MixC in Shiqi Sub-district has handled Zhongshan's first departure tax refund. A tourist from Hong Kong, China, purchased a smartphone and claimed a 11% tax refund amounting to 450 yuan.

"Mainland electronics offer exceptional value, and the departure tax refund policy makes them more appealing," said the Hong Kong tourist.

Data shows a rising preference among overseas tourists for China's smart-manufactured products. Zhongshan tax authorities have processed tax-refund store registration applications from multiple commercial hubs including the MixC and Dasin Golden Estate, covering major brands such as DJI, Huawei and Xiaomi.
