Lu Yijing, a ninth-grade student from Yunqu Middle School in Zhongshan, has been selected for China's national youth climbing team based on her outstanding performance at the National Rock Climbing Open. She is set to compete at the IFSC World Youth Championships in Finland this month.

At the National Rock Climbing Open & Youth/Junior National Team Trial held in April, Lu claimed first place in the U17 Women's Lead event and fifth in the Bouldering event, securing her spot as a reserve member of the national youth team.

Also at this event, Yunqu Middle School's eighth-grade students Liu Yujie and Li Xin showcased remarkable potential and reached the speed event finals in their first-ever competition against professional athletes.
