Jupiter One, the world's first 30MW pure hydrogen gas turbine independently developed by Mingyang Hydrogen Energy, a subsidiary of Zhongshan-based Mingyang Smart Energy, has been shipped from Wuxi, Jiangsu. The cutting-edge unit is destined for deployment in Otog Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, where it will power the 30MW pure hydrogen gas turbine energy storage demonstration project, a part of Shenzhen Energy Corporation's integrated wind-solar hydrogen production and green ammonia synthesis program in the region.

A pinnacle of advanced energy technology, pure hydrogen gas turbines represent a breakthrough in hydrogen-to-electricity conversion systems. The demonstration project will validate a closed-loop "power-to-hydrogen-to-power" scenario through coordinated hydrogen production, storage, and combustion for electricity generation. Construction is scheduled to begin this month, with commissioning expected by late 2025.
