The national climbing championships came to a close on September 7. In the bouldering finals on the last day, Tan Youtian, a ninth-grade student in Zhongshan, Guangdong, who had previously clinched the women's lead title, claimed her second gold and thus securing two titles in a single championship event.

The 14-year-old was the only finalist to complete all three routes, securing her the championship with this outstanding performance.

Hailing from Zhuhai, Tan is currently a student at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School. This marked her second participation in the national championships. She has previously clinched golds at the Asian and national youth championships, and has also secured victories at various stops of the national climbing league.
