A celebratory mood enveloped a residential compound in South District on September 15, as Zhongshan officially launched its residential elevator replacement project here with a groundbreaking ceremony.
Under China's national policy to upgrade aging elevators, each replacement unit is eligible for a 150,000-yuan subsidy. Industry leader TK Elevator is providing premium-grade equipment for the project and implementing safety enhancements that surpass industry benchmarks in the retrofitting process.
The initial phase aims to replace 419 targeted elevators within this year, with 67 units scheduled for replacement in September and 105 in October. All upgraded elevators are expected to be operational before the Spring Festival.
