On December 7, 2014, Yang Chen-Ning answered students' questions during a lecture.

Renowned physicist and Nobel laureate Yang Chen-Ning died of illness in Beijing on October 18 at 103.

The news deeply touched Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Secondary School, where Yang had twice visited to inspire scientific curiosity through lectures.

During the school's 55th anniversary in 2009, then-87-year-old Yang delivered "My Educational Journey," sharing formative student experiences and displaying a cherished photo with Deng Jiaxian, a pioneer of China's nuclear program, while recounting their half-century friendship.

In 2014, during the school's 60th anniversary, he spoke on "My Secondary School and University Years" to over a thousand students, later planting a kapok tree on campus with school board chairman Dr Jonathan Choi.
