Good news recently came from Toronto, Canada: renowned Hong Kong director Clifton Ko, whose ancestral home is in Zhongshan, has won the Best Cross-Media Producer Award at the 2025 Toronto Chinese Canadian Film Festival.

This marks another significant international accolade for Ko, following his Best Director awards at the 14th Chinese American Film Festival and the 7th Vancouver Chinese Film Festival.

Ko reveals in an interview that he is currently scripting a historical feature film, with filming set to take place in Zhongshan. He aims to leverage the city's rich historical and cultural heritage to further preserve and promote Lingnan culture.
