Diving competitions at the 15th National Games kicked off in Guangzhou on November 2. Team Guangdong, led by Chen Yiwen from Zhongshan and Quan Hongchan from Zhanjiang, captured the women's team gold medal on day one.

Morning sessions saw Chen Yiwen and Lin Shan, also from Zhongshan, dominate the synchronized 3m springboard, while Wang Weiying (from Zhanjiang) and Xie Peiling (from Yangjiang) secured 1st and 3rd places in the women's 10m platform.

In the afternoon, Chen and Lin swept the top two spots in the individual 3m springboard. By evening, the Quan-Wang duo won the synchronized 10m platform, marking Quan's return to competition after a five-month hiatus.

Guangdong's total score of 2,369.8 points secured the first diving gold in the end.
