The Zhongshan downtown section of the Nansha-Zhongshan Intercity Railway has achieved two major milestones: completion of the left-line tunnel between Shiqi and Qijiang New Town Stations, and topping out of the main structure of Qijiangdao Station.

Qijiangdao Station, an underground three-level structure measuring 254.9 meters in total length, has now entered the construction phase for internal structures and auxiliary works.

Since early 2025, the Zhongshan section of the Nansha-Zhongshan Intercity Railway has completed tunneling on five shield-driven sections and topped out three station main structures.
