The western section of Zhongshan's Hengsi Line has entered full-scale construction of asphalt top layer. The project aims to open the entire route before the coming Spring Festival.

Travel time from the urban area to towns/subdistricts such as Shaxi and Henglan will shrink from over 30 minutes to under 20 once the section opens to traffic.
