Cheng Minxing is an overseas Chinese returnee from the US, aged 91. He used to be the principal of a middle school in Hong Kong.

In May 1995, after his retirement, Cheng gave up his leisurely life with his children in the US and returned to Zhongshan's Nanlang with his wife to settle down. 

He is very concerned about the public welfare in his hometown. For example, he helped to raise sufficient funding to rebuild his alma mater——Onding School, now known as Nanlang Primary School.
