Zhongshan Foodstuff Import & Export Co Ltd of Guangdong (ZSFCO) marked its 70th anniversary with a celebration on December 25.

Founded in 1955 as China National Foodstuff Export Corp Shiqi Branch, the company evolved from exporting fresh and live products to building four strategic pillars: fresh product production, domestic fresh retail, import-export trade, and industrial manufacturing.
Over the past seven decades, ZSFCO earned 6 quality certifications, set 5 industry standards, and won 283 honors. Its products now reach over 20 provinces/cities including Hong Kong and Macao, and more than 30 international markets including Europe, the US and Japan, with annual import-export volume surpassing 200 million US dollars and group revenue nearing 2 billion yuan.
Recent initiatives capitalize on the pre-prepared food trend, launching multi-flavor Shiqi pigeon dishes (braised, salt-baked, spicy) and pigeon soup lines. ZSFCO's new retail models have expanded these "Zhongshan culinary icons" to more than 30 global markets.
A landmark achievement came last year when ZSFCO became the first Chinese brand to open up the New Zealand and Australia markets with pre-prepared Shiqi pigeon dishes.
