"We have received your order for 5,000 squabs and we will ship them immediately!" Said Qin Jingjing, general manager of Zhongshan Shengjin Food Investment Co on January 21, gesturing to the ready-for-shipment braised squabs in the warehouse.

This scene encapsulates Shiqi Squab's surging global appeal. Zhongshan Customs oversaw 12.1 tonnes of cooked squab exports in 2025, valued at approximately 1.24 million yuan.

"Australia is our primary target. Next, we aim to enter Canada, Singapore and other markets, bringing this Zhongshan signature dish to more places with Chinese communities." Qin added.

"We provided full-spectrum guidance to the company, from production line compliance and hygiene protocols to storage optimization, to ensure smooth overseas market entry." Said a customs official.
