The fifth session of the 13th Zhongshan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened at the Zhongshan Convention Center on the afternoon of February 3.

Zhuang Shujun, chairman of the CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, delivered the work report on behalf of the Standing Committee. 

Vice chairman Ye Xinxiong presented a report on proposal-related activities since the fourth session.

Over the past year, CPPCC members, participating organizations and committees submitted 432 proposals. Following review, 160 were formalized while 272 were converted into departmental suggestions. All proposals have been addressed by end-2025.
