The seventh session of the 16th Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress concluded after completing all agenda items on the afternoon of February 5.

The session approved resolutions including the Zhongshan Municipal Government Work Report and the Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development, and adopted the revised Rules of Procedure for the Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress.

It also identified Zhongshan's top 10 livelihood projects for 2026.

A motion on promoting coordinated development of advanced manufacturing and modern services, jointly submitted by 15 deputies including Chen Xinwen, was adopted as a congressional proposal for supervision by the Standing Committee. The remaining 17 motions were converted into deputies' suggestions. Together with 145 additional proposals, criticisms and opinions received during the session, these will be handled by relevant authorities with responses provided to deputies within the statutory period.
