To broaden accessibility, Zhongshan has increased the monthly income threshold for legal aid from 2,812 yuan to 2,881 yuan.

Applicants must demonstrate that neither they nor family members own substantial assets.

Zhongshan's legal aid services cover legal consultations, document drafting, criminal defense and representation, etc. 

Eligible residents can apply in person at legal aid workstations citywide or the municipal legal aid center, via mail, or through online channels.
