The "Guangdong Products Go Global: Zhongshan Goods Hit Shandong" event will take place in Shandong province's Jinan city from April 20 to 21. The main venue will be at Chaoran Pavilion Square by Daming Lake, with a sub-venue at Shandong University's central campus. Zhongshan is bringing its quality products to the Qilu region for a cross-regional trade and cultural feast.

A Bond of Cultures

Guangdong's Zhongshan and Shandong's Jinan, one by the sea and one embraced by springs, share an open, pioneering spirit in commerce. 

Zhongshan is the birthplace of China's modern "four great department stores," pioneered by overseas Chinese merchants from Xiangshan county. Jinan, also known as the City of Springs, was the first inland city in modern China to voluntarily open its port and has long been a trade hub.

Dr Sun Yat-sen (Sun Zhongshan) once visited Jinan. Later, to honor the great man, the coastal Xiangshan by the South China Sea was renamed Zhongshan, while Jinan commemorated him with Zhongshan Park. Linked by the name "Zhongshan," the two cities now renew their ties in industry and trade.

One-stop Shopping for Zhongshan's Best

The event features a Zhongshan Premium Products Exhibition with seven themed areas. Eighty-six key enterprises will showcase goods ranging from home appliances, furniture, consumer electronics, clothing, daily chemicals, food, culture and tourism, housing, and more.

Zhongshan Flavors: The Guinness World Record-holding "Shiqi Roasted Pigeon" will bring a taste of Lingnan to Jinan.

Lingnan ICH: The Drunken Dragon Dance, a national-level intangible cultural heritage, will be presented near Daming Lake.

Created in Zhongshan: Guzhen lighting (50% global, 70% domestic market share), and Mingyang Group, a leading offshore wind power expert, will make a strong showing.

Cultural Performances: Lion dances, traditional Guangdong folk music and other Lingnan arts will also take the stage in turn.

Splendid Activities Online and Offline

Offline: The opening ceremony will be held on the afternoon of April 20 at Chaoran Pavilion Square, alongside investment, tourism and talent policy briefings. The Zhongshan Premium Products Exhibition will offer a one-stop experience for shopping, leisure, and travel.
