The "Made in Guangdong, Made for You: Zhongshan Products, Heilongjiang Bound" and Russian Market Trade Fair continued in full swing on May 18.

At the Zhongshan pavilion of the 10th China-Russia Expo, premium products including lighting fixtures, home appliances and hardware were on display. Nearly 20 Zhongshan companies showcased over 100 "Zhongshan Smart Made" products, drawing a steady stream of merchants.

"Russian buyers are very professional. They know both the machines and the market," said Xu Lining, general manager of machinery company Carpigiani Zhongshan.

On day one, a Russian client ordered 20 prototype machines from Carpigiani Zhongshan for promotional use, while others expressed order intentions worth around 10 million yuan.

At the exhibition zone in Hongbo Exhibition Shopping Mall, exhibitors of "Zhongshan Smart Made" were equally eager to close deals.

Lighting maker Leimove brought its full range of indoor lighting products, including luxury-style spotlights developed specifically for the Russian market. 

"Heading north with the government's support, we are doing market research to fill product gaps and promoting our lighting technology. We hope to break into new segments," said Zhang Huifen, chairwoman of Leimove.
