On August 19, also the traditional Qixi Festival, marriage registration offices across Zhongshan saw a holiday rush, with 240 couples tying the knot. Of these, 111 registered at the Zhongshan Marriage Registration Center.

At a group certificate ceremony at the center, the newlyweds faced the national emblem, took their vows and received their bright red marriage certificates.

A public event on wedding customs and culture was also held that day, helping the newlyweds appreciate the responsibilities and joys of marriage in a ceremonial setting.
