Zhongshan's integrated circuit (IC) imports and exports reached 19.97 billion yuan in the first seven months of this year, up 122.2 percent year-on-year.

At the HCSC public-type bonded warehouse within Longsys's storage industrial park located in Zhongshan's Cuiheng New District, vacuum-sealed chips and other goods are neatly stacked on shelves as forklifts move back and forth.

The facility began operations in August last year. "By leveraging the warehouse's advantages in nearby distribution and faster customs clearance, the value of goods passing through has exceeded 10 billion yuan," said Li Bo, HCSC's general manager.

After the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link opened to traffic, travel time between the two cities was reduced to less than 30 minutes. Companies including Shenzhen-based Longsys and Lexar have quickly gathered in Zhongshan, and 6 supporting firms such as Jianghe Smart Manufacturing have settled in the Zhongshan industrial park.
