Flowing down from Yixian Reservoir in Zhongshan's Wuguishan, the Lanxi River winds through Cuiheng and Yakou villages before emptying into the Lingding Ocean. In the past, hampered by urban-rural development and inadequate sewage infrastructure, the river became a foul, black waterway. Thanks to systematic remediation, its banks now host more than 140 cafes and small restaurants, while a bustling startup market has brought new vitality to the riverside.
