Running 7.8 kilometers in total, 6.32 kilometers of which pass through Zhongshan's East District, the Baishi River winds through a number of communities, urban villages and residential compounds. After cleanup and ecological remediation, a vibrant "coffee economy belt" along the Kuchong section of the river now draws crowds of young visitors. "The river runs clear, egrets visit frequently, and tourist numbers keep rising," said a cafe owner.
