The management center of Shenzhen-Zhongshan (ShenZhong) Link has issued travel guidelines for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, reminding motorists to plan ahead, travel off-peak and drive safely.

Forecasts indicated the Link would see heavy traffic during several periods, with return traffic concentrated.

September 24: Outbound traffic from Shenzhen heading west would keep rising from 5 pm, with the outbound peak lasting until midnight and notably heavy evening congestion.

September 25 (Mid-Autumn Festival): Short- and medium-distance trips would dominate, with two-way traffic heavy throughout the day — the holiday's peak period. Passenger cars would make up most of the traffic.

September 26-27: Eastbound return traffic toward Shenzhen would gradually build up from the afternoon of September 26, with September 27 seeing the main return surge. Traffic would be heavily concentrated, and congestion would last until the end of the holiday.
