The Zhongshan leg of the 2026 Overseas Experts' Guangdong Tour began with an opening ceremony at the Zhongshan Technology Innovation Park on September 23.

Twelve experts from leading overseas universities and research institutes visited Zhongshan, with expertise spanning cutting-edge fields such as biomedicine, life sciences, rehabilitation medicine, energy and environment, and electrical engineering.

During the roadshow, the experts presented cutting-edge research results and their prospects for industrial application in life sciences, energy and environment, and electrical engineering, offering local companies fresh ideas for technology upgrades.

At the matchmaking session, representatives of companies and research platforms met the overseas experts face to face. They held in-depth discussions on tackling key technical challenges, commercializing research outcomes, flexible talent recruitment and joint project development, and reached preliminary intentions to cooperate on multiple fronts.

The expert delegation also visited research platforms and companies across the city to gain a fuller, more rounded picture of Zhongshan's industrial foundation and innovation environment.
