Diving competition of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games continued on September 28, as Lin Shan from Zhongshan won the women's 1m springboard final and fellow Chinese diver Long Yiping took silver. The champion title was China's sixth in the event at the Asian Games.

At the women's synchronized 3m springboard final on September 27, Zhongshan diver Chen Yiwen and her teammate Chen Jia won gold with 328.56 points over 5 rounds. It was the third gold of the Games for China's diving "Dream Team" and the team's seventh straight title in the event.

Five athletes from Zhongshan are competing for China at the Games. Besides Chen Yiwen and Lin Shan, Wang Xue'er has already claimed silver in the women's 50m backstroke final. Rising sprint star Chen Xinxuan will race in the women's 100m, 200m and relay events, while fencer Peng Shengwei, born in the 2000s, will represent China in the men's team epee.
