'Made in Zhongshan' opens up westbound export corridor

In the division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (hereinafter referred to as the Corps) at the Kashgar Economic Development Zone, a national-level development zone, Guangdong companies, based in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhongshan and other cities, have set up factories, drawing on local resources to open new markets.

The quality products exhibition center that opened in mid-August has become a key vehicle for the cooperation between Guangdong and the Corps and the industrial assistance to Xinjiang, opening up a westbound export corridor for Guangdong-made goods.

With total investment of 15 million yuan, the 4-story center combines brand promotion, sales of specialty products, business matchmaking, cross-border support services and new product launches. It gives high-quality Guangdong-made goods a platform for entering Central and South Asian markets.

So far, 65 companies have signed up to move in the center, with more than 1,000 product categories and over 1,500 samples available for display.

In the Zhongshan showroom, the "Sunwen West Road" sign at the entrance and the image of the Sun Yat-sen statue in the Sun Wen Memorial Park on the wall are eye-catching. The shelves mostly hold food and beauty products made in Zhongshan.

"Zhongshan's sunscreens and skincare products are highly competitive in Central and South Asian markets, and we have already received purchase inquiries," said the center's business manager.
