Guo Yuan, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of South District, Zhang Caihe, member of the Party Working Committee, and Liang Zhidong, Director of the District Center for Education Affairs, visited the "Voice of People on Friday" radio program on November 8 to exchange views on issues of public interest. 

According to Guo Yuan, the new Zhuxiuyuan Central Primary School in South District, with an investment of 85 million yuan, is scheduled to go operational in September 2020 .

Founded in 1932, Zhuxiuyuan Central Primary School is one of the oldest schools in South District. This School, located in Zhuxiuyuan Village, due to the narrow village road, parking space shortage and other issues, has been unable to meet its daily teaching needs.

The new school that covers an area of 23,600 square meters is currently under construction. It is planned to be put into use in September 2020. The new school will have 42 classes which can accommodate 1,890 students.

Since last year, South District has gradually upgraded the environment of existing schools, and has successively carried out such projects as the Liangdu Middle School expansion, the Liangdu Middle School Sports Ground renovation as well as the Liangdu Primary School and Beitai Primary School expansion.
