The market supply-demand matching index (requeset ratio) was about 1.26, a decrease of about 0.04 from July.

It was worth noting that in August, the total amount of supply and demand of the human resources market in Zhongshan was 50,397, a decrease of 16.5% from a month earlier. This was the first decrease in the total supply and demand of the human resources market since May this year. The number of job seekers was 22,327, a decrease of 14.98% from July.

In August, Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau carried out dynamic monitoring of the unemployment rates of 300 enterprises in Zhongshan. The total number of jobs in enterprises was about 152,000, a decrease of 1.02% from a month earlier. Job losses mainly took place in domestic enterprises (accounting for 56.6% of the total) and in the manufacturing industry.
