The 2021 "Spring Months" on-site job fairs sponsored by the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau were launched on February 21 at the Human Resources Service Industrial Park of Torch Development Zone and the Zhongshan Bus Terminal respectively. The events will last 8 days.

The job fair held in Torch Development Zone was crowded with job seekers around 10 am, and 135 companies set up recruitment stalls, attracting many workers.

"The demand for general workers has increased by about 30% this year." The HR manager of Guangdong Jianglong Human Resources Group said that the increased salary directly reflects the increase in labor demand. In the same period last year, the average salary for general workers was 18 yuan/hour, but it has risen to 20 to 22 yuan/hour on average this year, up 11% to 22%.

In addition, there were special areas for key enterprises, military veterans and the homemaking industry at the job fair. Meanwhile, policy consultation sites were set up, and online job fairs also kicked off.

A total of 300 companies offering 2,000 jobs in the job fairs, hoping to recruit more than 25,000 employees.
