The Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on May 25 released a summary of Zhongshan's employment service data for April.

Data shows that in April, about 18,000 new jobs were created, 4,000 people were re-employed, and 500 people with employment difficulties were employed.

Supply and demand in the human resources market showed a downward trend on the whole, with a significant month-on-month decrease in the demand side and the number of job seekers. There were 56,933 open positions and 26,599 job seekers, down 40.6% and 27% respectively from the previous month.

The proportional labor force demand in primary and secondary industries increased, while that in the tertiary industry decreased to 23,847 open positions down 60.8% from the previous month.

There continues to be a great demand for skilled workers. In terms of junior technicians, the selection ratio (number of people needed/job seekers) was 4.2, with 9,119 open positions and 2,170 job seekers.
