The Zhongshan Zhuoya Education Support Center was unveiled days before and announced to launch the 2021 Education Support Program. The Zhongshan Civil Affairs Bureau will establish an information database for students from poor families to provide them with support in education.
Since it was launched in 2016, the Education Support Program has provided more than 4.45 million yuan in aid to fund a total of 1,663 poor students by the end of 2020.
This year, the Zhongshan Charity Association established the Zhongshan Zhuoya Education Support Center with the support of 1 million yuan from the Junjian Boai Charity Fund, ensuring the timely development of the 2021 Education Support Program.
The Zhongshan Zhuoya Education Support Center will subsidize poor students to relieve the pressures of tuition fees and living expenses and give corresponding financial assistance to help them attend universities, high schools (including technical secondary schools) and junior high schools.
The Junjian Boai Charity Fund was established in 2010 by Ma Jianjun, permanent honorary president of the Zhongshan Charity Association and also a charitable entrepreneur, with his donations.
