The main buildings of two new high schools in Zhongshan, Yong'an High School and Yanzhou High School, were basically completed.
The two schools are both equipped with modern facilities and can provide high-quality education to a total of 8,550 students in Zhongshan after completion.
Yong'an High School is located on the east side of Yong'an No.1 Road in South District, in front of the Zhongshan Arboretum, and about 150 meters from South Outer Ring Road to the north. It costs a total investment of 570 million yuan and covers an area of about 122 mu, with total construction area of about 100,000 square meters.
Yong'an High School is one of the key construction projects included among the "Top 10 People's Livelihood Projects" in Zhongshan. The school will support 81 classes and 4,050 enrollment places, and will officially open on September 1 this year.
Yanzhou High School, located on the west side of Cuijing Avenue in West District, costs a total investment of about 710 million yuan. This public school project is the largest single investment of its kind in Zhongshan. It covers an area of about 142 mu, with a total construction area of about 120,000 square meters. The school will support a maximum of 90 classes and 4,500 students after completion.
