The first "Rural Craftsmen" list in Zhongshan City was announced recently, and 118 rural professional and technical personnel were awarded professional title certificates, including 59 medium-grade professional titles (for engineers) and 59 junior titles (assistant engineers and technicians).

"Zhongshan is the first in Guangdong to launch pilot programs in the Flower Planting and Cantonese Preserved Meat industries to cultivate innovative and professional agricultural talent," said an official from Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, adding that the professional title evaluation takes into account skill contributions, agricultural technology promotion, industry recognition, income growth, and industrial development as key criteria and pays more attention to the assessment of candidates' practical abilities.

In the future, these 118 rural professional and technical craftsmen can be promoted to even higher-level qualifications, which are suitable for preferential policies such as priority household application (hukou), fast channels for medical treatment, financial support for innovation and business ventures, training, study and overseas exchanges, and more.
