The revised Zhongshan Employment and Entrepreneurship Fund Management Measures will come into effect on August 1, 2022.

The measures include a total of 55 subsidy items for employment, entrepreneurship, vocational training among other funds, with 11 newly added employment subsidy items including the "Living Allowance for the GBA Youth Employment Plan" and 3 new entrepreneurship subsidy items including the "Cantonese Cuisine Chefs Entrepreneurship Subsidy".

The "Living Allowance for the GBA Youth Employment Plan" was specially introduced for the increasing number of Hong Kong young men coming to work or start businesses in Zhongshan. People who participate in the "Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Plan" organized by the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and work in Zhongshan will be given a monthly subsidy of 1,000 yuan each, with a maximum subsidy period of 18 months.

The "Cantonese Cuisine Chefs Entrepreneurship Subsidy" will provide Cantonese chefs with start-up support. Those who are approved for the subsidy by the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau will be given a one-time subsidy of 150,000 yuan.

Enterprises founded by overseas returnees with approval in ZOS Park can apply for up to 2 million yuan as start-up funding as long as they conform to the relevant provisions.
