The proposed Zhongshan Xiangshan Middle School is located on Ma'an Island of Cuiheng New District, with a construction period of 15 months and a total investment of over 920 million yuan.

Xiangshan Middle School is a six-year high school with both junior and senior divisions. With a planned land area of 73,000 square meters and a total floor area of 99,000 square meters, Xiangshan Middle School is next to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Primary School.

Xiangshan Middle School includes two 5-story teaching buildings and one 5-story laboratory building for the senior division and the junior division each, two 12-story student dormitory buildings for each division, as well as a 16-story teacher dormitory building.

There are also a 6-story library complex, a 3-story gymnasium and a 3-story canteen. Besides, the school has complete outdoor sports facilities and public utilities, such as a 400-meter stadium, basketball courts and badminton courts.

The school is initially proposed with 72 classes, including 36 junior classes with 50 students each, and 36 senior classes with 40 students each. It can accommodate 3,240 students in total.

Currently, 40 schools are under planning in the eastern Cuiheng New District, including 9 middle schools, 13 primary schools and 18 kindergartens.
