The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou concluded on October 8. Wang Haohua, a PE teacher from Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Secondary School, served as an international technical official of the Asian Games and the chief referee for the artistic roller skating events. She carried out the refereeing work in the preliminary and final competitions of women's single artistic roller skating, demonstrating her professionalism alongside the athletes.
The 48-year-old is a high school sports and health teacher at Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Secondary School. She came from Jilin Province and has been practicing figure skating since childhood. She once won the silver medal of the ice dance event at the Chinese National Figure Skating Championships, and she ever served as the choreographer for ice show at the opening ceremony of the 9th National Winter Games. Also, she holds the title of national sportswoman.
In 2007, Wang Haohua obtained the qualification of an international artistic roller skating referee. She participated in the refereeing work of the Guangzhou Asian Games and Artistic Roller Skating World Championships, and was invited to promote and conduct team skating training in Beijing and Qingdao.
Wang Haohua hopes to establish interest groups for artistic roller skating at school and promote this sports event to other schools.
