The 2025 Little Master Cantonese Chef summer camp was launched at Sanxiang Campus of Zhongshan Modern Vocational and Technical School on July 7, gathering nearly 30 students from schools across the city for a culinary journey.
During the five-day camp, the kids will master Cantonese-style pan-frying/braising and slow-cooked soups while gaining cultural insights of the Lingnan culinary culture through ingredient pairing exercises.
The curriculum integrates nutrition pairing principles, enabling the kids to grasp healthy eating concepts like meat-vegetable balance and "low oil and salt" during ingredient measurements.
At the closing ceremony, young chefs will present a Cantonese-style family feast to showcase their achievements to parents.
