Zhongshan Sports School held the groundbreaking ceremony for its relocation and expansion in South District on October 30.

Spanning 187,856.48 square meters with 60,184.7 square meters of construction area, the project will create a superior campus environment for teachers and students with upgraded teaching facilities, training venues and living amenities. 

With an investment of 500 million yuan, the new school will be three times larger than the old one, and it can accommodate up to 1,950 students.

All 17 existing sports programs will relocate to the new school. Construction is scheduled for completion by June 2027.
