The Fengshan Campus (formerly called Yueshan Campus) of No.1 Middle School of Zhongshan, which carries the memories of generations of Zhongshan people, is set to open this September with a planned enrollment of 432 students.

The campus houses 4 heritage sites. The renovation has fully preserved the bell tower, the school gate tower, the art building and the Song Dynasty ancient city wall.
The bell tower, which was first built in the 1920s, stands tall alongside modern teaching and lab buildings, resembling a "walking history museum."

The new campus has seen a full facilities upgrade. All 24 classrooms come with smart teaching equipment, healthy lighting systems and air conditioning. Beyond standard labs, the lab building also features a joint lab co-developed with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and South China University of Technology.
The school features a football field, running tracks, AI-powered sports facilities, and indoor and outdoor courts. The two-story canteen can seat 500 diners at a time.
The campus also features campus-wide covered walkways linking dormitories, teaching areas and the canteen, allowing students to cross the entire campus on rainy days without an umbrella.
