In March this year, Zhongshan has become one of the 9 pilot cities of "Online Nurse Appointment" in Guangdong Province. Xiaolan People's Hospital, Chen Xinghai Hospital, Guzhen People's Hospital, Torch Development Zone Hospital, Dongfeng People's Hospital, South District Hospital, Zhongshan Asia Pacific Hospital, Zhongshan Tongfang Hospital, Qiwan Community Health Service Center in East District and Jiayouyisheng Comprehensive Clinic have been identified as pilot institutions.

In July, Chen Xinghai Hospital, was the first in Zhongshan to launch the "online nurse appointment" service, followed by other 8 pilot medical institutions. This service is about to be available in Zhongshan Tongfang Hospital later this month.

At present, a total of 236 nurses in Zhongshan have registered for the "online nurse appointment". Since the "Internet Plus nursing" platform for "Healthy Zhongshan" APP was officially launched on July 11, some 103 people have made appointments for the home health care service.

As of now,  pilot medical institutions in Zhongshan set prices independently based on the needs of both suppliers and patients. Home health care service has not been covered by medical insurance. Patients generally pay 100 to 300 yuan for each visit, exclusively at their own expense.

According to the Zhongshan Health Bureau, as the third-generation medical insurance card and online payment are available, the cost of the home health care service is expected to be covered by medical insurance.
